Iteris Over the Air Software Updates on ICP Devices Coming Soon

The Iteris CV App Manager is a software tool that unlocks the potential of running V2X applications on the edge. With a user interface that runs on in-cabinet processors (ICPs), Iteris CV App Manager gives agencies or contractors the ability to configure and monitor the ICP, as well as the software applications installed on the ICP.

Soon, agency ICPs will be able to download software updates from the cloud (i.e., over the air, or OTA). After installing the upcoming platform release on ICP devices, users will have the ability to update the software for the ICP and apps running on it in the future with a single click. OTA updates Once the release enabling OTA updates becomes available, users can go to the Iteris CV App Manager to start an upgrade process for any future release. The upgrade process does not require field visits and is faster and less costly for keeping firmware and software up to date. This also speeds up the delivery and deployment of new releases across ICP devices so customers spend less time updating them.

The release of OTA software update capability makes it easier to keep ICP devices current, which also means that new app releases may now be introduced more frequently.
