Maximizing Traffic Flow and Safety at Large Intersections: Introducing Vantage Next Max

2 min. Read • Posted 09/28/2023 by Mike Plata

Nearly nine years ago, the Vantage Next platform was released and revolutionized the traffic industry. As a fully integrated, high-performance video detection system, it set a new standard and represented the industry’s most advanced detection solution available.

Today, there are over 20,000 Vantage Next systems deployed nationwide at intersections of all sizes safely managing traffic signals, collecting accurate multimodal data and supporting intelligent transportation systems (ITS) applications.

In an ongoing effort to innovate and meet our customers’ needs, Iteris is excited to announce Vantage Next Max™ as the newest addition to our Vantage detection product suite.

Vantage Next Max builds upon the Vantage Next platform by expanding the number of sensors supported per in-cabinet central control unit (CCU) from four to eight sensors.

This makes it an ideal traffic detection solution where more sensors may be required, such as large intersections with up to 10 lanes per approach, diverging diamond interchanges and locations with special requirements for proper detection coverage.

Proper detection coverage at the intersection ensures improved traffic operations and enhanced safety.

With Vantage Next Max, traffic engineers and system integrators can easily install and program a single system in a traffic cabinet, rather than multiple systems, saving them time, money and cabinet space.
