Advanced and intuitive mobile application to diagnose and validate connected vehicle applications in the field or offsite.

Connected vehicles (CVs) are expected to reduce driving-related crashes dramatically, and with over 470 million estimated to be on roadways by 2025, transportation agencies and solutions providers, such as Iteris, are actively preparing for their arrival.

Iteris is excited to announce the release of the Iteris V2X Connect™ mobile application for traffic management agencies and systems integrators deploying and implementing CV applications.

Used for system validation and interoperability analysis, Iteris V2X Connect provides a process to visually monitor, decode and validate over-the-air (OTA) CV data from vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications in an intuitive real-time display and interactive navigation-style map.

As a packet sniffer and analysis tool, Iteris V2X Connect captures the V2X data generated and broadcasted by vehicles equipped with onboard units (OBUs) and associated data, such as that from infrastructure roadside units (RSUs) and stores the data for analysis in the field or offsite.

“With V2X Connect, traffic agency field personnel and their system integrators now have a hassle-free and highly efficient way to validate critical connected vehicle safety applications,” said Frank Provenzano, senior director of product management at Iteris. “Agencies can take comfort in knowing that their CV deployments are interoperable and follow all traffic management industry standards.”

Who should use Iteris V2X Connect?

  • Traffic departments and engineers: endorse mobility and safety-based CV application deployments while managing multiple solutions.
  • CV system integrators: verify data exchange between vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) applications to confirm interoperability between vendor solutions.
  • ITS deployment contractors: certify and document CV installations for quick and easy acceptance testing requirements.
